Hilltop Gallery
In 1968, Patrons of the Arts, Inc. became incorporated. The land on which the gallery stands was donated by the Holm family. Since 1972 Opening Exhibit, the gallery has mounted more than 9 shows each season. The gallery has a main show room and a studio; both of which are designed and used to display visual art. Since 1976, the Summer Art Program has had over 100 children in attendance during the four week summer art program. This program has been in collaboration with the City of Nogales Parks and Recreation Department and the Santa Cruz County School Superintendent. For over 40 years. An astounding number of children have had creative experiences at Hilltop Gallery. It continues through generations. Hilltop also has classes for adults and children, as well as outreach art classes in the Boys and Girls Club and VFW. In the past years, Hilltop Gallery has sponsored billboards featuring local artists in our community which has brought more art awareness and appreciation to the public.
Our motto: Hilltop Gallery is where this gift exchange takes place. “Artists present art as a gift to the viewer: The viewer’s gift to the artists is to look and see.”
